| This is the 3rd one of those with this engine.. I finished putting new oil pan gaskets on and red RTV, but I put it back on with the dipstick still in, and it trapped it underneath the crankshaft cradle (girdle..whatever you want to call it) and the oil pan. (the very end of the oil dipstick).... so, it's all back together, and I go to pull the dipstick out and "snap"... whups! The piece on the end of the dipstick is on the bottom of the oil pan. There's no good way to get it out either beccause it's aluminum. therefore, I have to drop the oil pan again.. ...bah!.
